How to Book ORE Part 1 (What No One Tells You the First Time)
How to Book ORE Part 1: What No One Tells You the First Time If you are trying to book ORE Part 1 for the first time, almost everyone makes the same mistake....
If you are trying to book ORE Part 1 for the first time, almost everyone makes the same mistake.
You think: “How hard can it be? I’ll log in, click book, and that’s it.”
We hear this all the time from candidates — and then reality hits.
Let us be honest with you from the start: booking ORE Part 1 is genuinely difficult, and not because you are doing something wrong.
Why Booking ORE Part 1 Is So Hard
Each time bookings open, there are roughly 6,000 candidates trying to secure a seat.
Out of those, only around 600 places are available.
That means even before you begin, 90% of people will not get a place — regardless of how prepared or motivated they are.
This is why booking ORE Part 1 feels more like a race than a normal exam registration.
What Most People Underestimate
From speaking to hundreds of candidates, one thing is clear: people underestimate how technical the booking process is.
It is not just about being on time. It is about:
- How fast your page loads
- How quickly you can click
- How your browser behaves under pressure
Small delays of even one or two seconds can be the difference between success and missing out.
Use a Clean, Fast Browser
This sounds minor, but it matters.
You should ideally use:
- A browser with no unnecessary extensions
- The latest version of the browser
- A browser you have recently restarted
Many candidates even use a “guest” or fresh browser profile to avoid background scripts slowing things down.
Use a Mouse (Not a Trackpad)
This might sound obvious, but during booking, you will need to click extremely fast.
A mouse gives you:
- Better precision
- Faster response time
- Less chance of mis-clicking
Those tiny differences genuinely matter when thousands of people are clicking the same button.
Use an Ethernet Cable (If You Can)
If possible, do not rely on Wi-Fi.
A wired Ethernet connection is usually:
- More stable
- Less likely to drop
- Slightly faster in response time
No connection is perfect — but you want to remove as many risks as possible.
The Tricky Part: Refresh Timing
This is where most people struggle.
You are waiting for the “Book Now” button to appear.
- If you refresh too early, the button does not render and you must refresh again
- If you refresh too late, the page can take a long time to load
The goal is to refresh exactly at the right moment — which is easier said than done.
And remember: when that final refresh happens, all 6,000 candidates are doing the same thing.
Expect the Final Refresh to Take Longer Than Normal
This part catches people off guard.
That final page load may feel frozen. It can take much longer than you expect.
Do not panic. Do not spam refresh unless absolutely necessary.
When the page finally loads, you need to:
- Locate the “Book Now” button instantly
- Click it without hesitation
- Proceed as fast as possible
Is Booking Guaranteed If You Do Everything Right?
No — and it is important to be honest about this.
Even if you follow every tip perfectly, booking is never guaranteed.
But doing these things gives you the best possible chance in a very competitive situation.
One Final Piece of Advice
Many candidates wait to start preparing until they have booked the exam.
Given how unpredictable booking is, this often leads to unnecessary stress.
Our advice is simple: prepare as if you will get the seat.
That way, whether you book this sitting or the next, you are already ahead.
Booking ORE Part 1 is hard — but passing it is completely achievable with the right preparation.
You are not alone in this. And you are not failing if booking doesn’t work the first time.
